2. The service
imok.today is a daily SMS check-in notification service. We send messages to a nominated phone number and alert designated contacts if no reply is received.
3. Critical disclaimer — read this
imok.today is NOT:
- An emergency response service
- A medical monitoring service
- A substitute for professional care
- A guarantee of safety
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency services (112 in Portugal and the EU, 999 in the UK) immediately.
imok.today alerts family members — it does not dispatch emergency services.
4. Family member responsibilities
- You confirm you have the elder's consent to register their phone number
- You provide accurate contact information
- You keep your notification phone number up to date
- You understand this is a notification service only
5. Subscription and billing
- Essential plan: €5.90/month
- Premium plan: €9.90/month
- 14-day free trial, no credit card required
- Billed monthly via Stripe
- Cancel anytime — no cancellation fees
- No refunds for partial months already billed
- Trial converts automatically if a card is added
6. Service availability
We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. SMS delivery depends on third-party providers and mobile networks. We are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages due to network issues outside our control.
7. Fair use
One elder per Essential plan, up to 4 family contacts on Premium. Accounts found to be abusing the service will be suspended.
8. Termination
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may cancel at any time from the billing page.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, imok.today is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid in the previous 30 days.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Portuguese courts.
11. Changes to terms
We will notify users of material changes by email with 30 days notice.
